CAVP does not report incidents to the police or any other entity without the victim’s written consent, with the exception of physical or sexual violence perpetrated against persons under 18 per Colorado’s mandated reporting requirements.

Individuals who report to CAVP can access basic services, including crisis intervention counseling 24 hours a day, safety planning, advocacy, referrals, group counseling, court, hospital, or police accompaniment, and other emergency services.
