Fred Phelps' Picketing Nets Colorado LGBT Rights Groups 85 Minutes of Pledge Support

Image Thanks to everyone who pledged and help make the Lemonade Campaign a huge success.

Yesterday 15 of the Phelps clan (Fred himself didn't show up) picketed for 1 hour, 24 minutes and 50 seconds in front of the Denver City/County Building.

But over 100 people pledged online to the Lemonade Campaign, and over 100 people showed up for the Diversi-Tea yesterday. It has been an incredible outpouring of community support.

To those who pledged, those who attended the Diversi-Tea, and those who donated baked goods, space (yea Washington Park United Church of Christ and Rev. Emily Hassler) or other help - thanks for demonstrating that there is a positive, proactive way to build community and oppose Phelps' message of hate.

For those of you who pledge an amount per minute, the total is 85 minutes. For those who pledge a flat amount, that's fine too.
